Was told I'd have a 2nd interview... no call

Published

Hello everyone! I don't know if I'm stressing or what. I had an interview last week (Wednesday I think) and it went great. Before I left I was told that she'd probably call me that night or the following day to schedule my second interview. I waited all night by the phone and no call. The next day I decided to call around 3 because I know the office closes at 5. She said the reason she hadn't called me was because the Dr. doesn't work on Fridays and they were figuring out when to set my interview up. She said she'd call me next week (which is now this week) for an interview. I called yesterday to get her last name to send out a thank you note and I was hoping she'd mention something about the progress of my second interview... NOTHING. I didn't ask because I don't want to be to aggresive and she did say she'd call this week, and I know it wasn't Friday. I'm not sure what to expect at this point. She sounded like I had it in the bag at the first interview and then when I called it's like she doesn't even remember me. Should I assume I'm not getting that second interview after all and move on? I'm so bummed, I really was hoping for that second interview this week, it sounds like my dream job!

I would get prepared to continue with your job search. Sounds like this one might not pan out. Good luck.

Whew... they finally called me this morning after a week of me going crazy waiting by the phone. Next week I have a set second interview. I hope this pans out for me, this job is an amazing opportunity and I can see myself with this hospital/company for years. I'm going to study my butt off for the department in which it's held so that I can be ready for any related questions they may ask. Please pray and wish me luck!
