I was originally waitlisted for LPN school, but I was not told what number I was on the list, nor did I ask. It was my first time applying for nursing school, so I accepted the rejection and decided that I would not pursue nursing at that time.
I recieved a phone call 3 weeks before classes started! I wish you the best of luck!
hi lorrie,
im also an alternate in the nursing program that i applied for. :cry:i talked to the department head and asked her what are the chances of me getting into the program.she told me that they have chosen many alternates in past nursing classes. she also told me to keep the faith:nuke:. so i am keeping the faith that i will soon get that phone call before classes start in january:nurse:. U should do the same and remember you are not alone:nono:
Thanks, this makes me feel a little better. You just have people telling you not to sit around and wait because I'm probably not going to get picked, then on the other hand I have people telling that I will get in. I just hope and pray that I do. I wanted to do this all my life, but didn't have a chance.

I was wondering if anyone was an alternate for their LPN/LVN nursing program, and got in the first week, and also what number were you? The reason I'm asking to see what my chances are, they picked 30 people for the program and 10 alternates, I'm alternate #6. I talked to students who are in the program now and they said they used all 10 alternates the first week. thank You
