an udapate to the post months agon
well tptb have decided and it has happened we now will have acute cote pt.
we keep ore previous consultant and gain another for acute pt.
im raring up for the skills challenge i to venpunctuie cannualtion and male cathertisation and moving on, more work but more fun in a way.
more learning and expanding knowledge i may need more books as althogh out pf=t did sometime go acute is was not contant and iv even had a pt with a diagnosis i had never taken care of.
any recomends for elderly medical nurisng bookls?
anywhere to learn lung, heart and bowel sounds in the uk?

Ayla there are courses that teach you clinical assessment skills in the UK, there are websites that you can listen to lung and heart sounds try the littmann website
ill try to look at hem sharrie.
we now have a 2nd cons his spr and 2 sho who seem nice. both consultanrt pt will be reviiwed on wr q daily and 3 con lead wr a week.l it sounds great as at times our lack of medical cover meant only urgent acute sepsis etc needs were met and any
non urgent but important to patietn well beingh were delayed. i had the spr today review a pt i had asked to be seen regading depression last week, pt is now started on antidepressant so something is being tried.
