I am wondering where you can buy CNA crne prep guide from abroad (Sweden)besides from CNA? It would cost me over 200 CAD for purchasing it from CNA and it sounds quite expensive.

You might try through http://www.amazon.ca where the price for CRNE prep guides (Lippincott and Mosby) is much lower. I'm not sure about the shipping costs though.

Ok, I have found Lippincotts book here in Sweden. I think I also can get a hold of Mosby's book here as well.

Do you think it will be sufficent as literature or do I also need the CNA book?

Thanks!

All three of those resources are very similar. The key to success with the CRNE is to know how to interpret the questions. They can be very tricky. The focus is often on community health or psychosocial concerns. And of course you have to remember to keep the Canadian perspective in mind when you choose your responses. There is an online practice exam that you can try once you've worked through Lippincott and/or Mosby to see if you're on the right track. You can find the portal for the test here: http://69.20.237.219/readiness5/english/default.aspx

hi aelsa3

I am an internationally educated nurse that just sat the Feb 2009 CRNE.

I used Lippincott's 2008 CRNE Prep Guide. However I would certainly highly recommend CNA's CRNE Prep Guide. I used the 2005 and 2000 books, they were like my bibles and helped me immensely with multi-choice structure. Personally I benefitted 10 X more from the CNA books than the Lippincott book. It cost me around CDN$170 for the CNA book & postage. Yes very expensive, but it proved helpful, and I just sold it to someone here in BC for $50 after I finished the exam.
