Want to Relocate to another State to work

I am currently a new RN, worked as a LPN for over 10 years. Graduated as a RN in 2015. I am wanting to apply for jobs in Florida but currently live in Indiana, can you apply for jobs without being seen in person to interview? If so how do I go about it?

If the area in which you want to work has a nursing shortage, they might hire you based on a resume and a phone interview. I wouldn't count on it.

Narrow down the places you want to live, or, if it's more important to you, the place you want to work. Submit your resume and an application (usually on line these days) and specify in a cover letter that you'll be in the area on Such and such dates and would be eager to meet with them at that time. (Submit the applications far enough out from when you plan to visit the area that the facility has some lead time to schedule interviews for you. Sometimes it takes a few months to get all of the interested parties together at once.) You will probably have to actually visit the area for interviews, but that's to your benefit as well as theirs. After all, you want to see the place yourself and get an idea if you really want to work there and meet people to determine if you really want to work with them.

Why do you want to move to Florida? Is it just because you want to live in Florida weather, or do you have some attachment to a particular place. Your boyfriend is going to be transferred to Jacksonville or your husband's grandmother lives in Orlando and you need to be nearer because she's getting older now? If you know you're going to be living in Tallahassee anyway, you might use this trip to look for housing as well, or at the very least to narrow down neighborhoods that are affordable and where you could see yourself living.

I wouldn't want to take a job without seeing the place and meeting the people, and I wouldn't want to move without checking out the area -- but your comfort level may vary.

Much easier to get a job when you have a local address.

Florida should take anybody with those terrible ratios and terrible pay.
