Have you ever received CNA training? I know that in New York, personal care training is a few weeks, and the CNA training is about a month to 6 weeks. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant may lead you into positions in hospitals and nursing homes, where you would be exposed to nurses, and what we do at our different levels.
Also, look at your weaknesses; for example, is math a challenge to you, or reading comprehension? Maybe consider taking courses (some libraries offer them for free) if this is an issue for you. Most of the CNA courses want to know if you have a high school diploma, make sure you have that ready.
You will have to get geared up for the school struggle, because nursing programs are very competitive. Many of them take the higher GPAs (grade point average). But, for now, concentrate on becoming a CNA, so that you can become more exposed to licensed nurses. I wish you the best of luck!

Go to your nearest nursing school and talk to an acedemic advisor to see what you need to do.
Great advice above.
