wallace state cc nursing spring 2011

Published

Hey I plan on applying to the RN program at wallace state community college for spring 2011. Ive taken my Teas V at Shelton State and made 64% which translated to 94 points towrds the points. Ive taken Anatomy 201 and Micro 220 at Lawson, both of which i came out with a B. Im going to substitute my high school algebra 2 for my Anatomy 202 which i havent taken yet. If ive caculated my score right im at 156 points out of 251. Can anyone tell me if this might get me in? I've heard that spring time admission is usually lower so the cuttoff might be lower. i know the cut off for the fall was at 181. someone please help!!!!!

I was told that the lowest score on Teas that made it in was a 50 something. I made a 69 the first time I took it but I retook the test to make a 78. I have 2 B's in anatomy and an a in micro. So I guess that is 187 points. But after the TEAS and points from science there is still 11 points that I don't know where they come from. I wish you the best of luck.

i saw someone on here got in fall with 179 points..other day when i took the TEAS the lady said there cutoff was 57% on TEAS test

well i know the score i made on the teas test transfers to 96 points towards the point system. and i also heard that admission in the spring time is generally greater. this girl that takes chemistry with me said they generaly admit 250+ people in for the spring. have u heard anything like this?

I was told admission dropped from 250 to 80 and I think that is both for fall and spring. But I could be mistaken. I heard they made cutbacks and some teachers got laid off so the program was downsized.

Anyone else out there that has applied to the program for spring? The wait is now on!!!!

well i retook my teas and got a 72.7 which gave me 109.5 points and plus my science points (microbiology, anatomy 1, both of which i got B's in, and my math points for my high school algebra 2 (i made a B) i applied with a total of 169.5 points. the lady hats the secretary for the program did say admission for the spring will be down, between 80-130 maybe 150, but thats a strong 150. i do feel a little better applying with 16.5 points vs. 156.

does anyone know any information. Like when letters will be sent out?

I was told the first week in November by Jennifer in the nursing department

Wallace doesn't have a "cut off." The lowest score that someone was accepted with previously was a 58. They don't use a certain score to determine... it just depends on how competitive your score is with others. Good luck! :)

Umm actually they do. Their cut off means the student who had the lowest amount if points. The teas test score in which your referring to is not what I'm talking about. Thanks;-)

I have applied to the Wallace State RN program in Hanceville for Spring 2011 and want to know what everyone thinks my chances are for getting in. Here are my scores TEAS I scored 70% which translates to 105 points and in Anatomy 1, Anatomy 2, and Micro I got A's in all three. So for Teas and Biology classes my total score is 195 out of 251 possible. I am not sure where the extra 11 points comes from but I figure they are awarded if you are a current Wallace student and I am NOT. So does anyone have an idea of what my chances are? Thanks
