I've been admitted to the psych NP program at Walden. I'm trying to decide whether to take 1 or 2 courses at the same time. I would like to hear from someone who has taken courses there and who can speak to how difficult /easy they are and how many hours a week each course takes. I work 40 hours a week. Thanks.

I'm currently at Walden and took 2 classes, it's doable. I took Health Assessment and Pharmacology by itself
How many hours a week would you say you spend on each class?
I probably spent less than 20 hours a week except for Evidence Based Practice. I hated that class! Patho, Pharmacology and Health Assessment takes a lot of time due to the reading and practicing on the assessment.

Congratulations guys! I will be starting in May 30th... I do have a question for those of you that have already started....Do you'll order your text books from Walden or outside Walden? Any info is appreciated!
I order mine from Amazon

When you get them from Amazon, do you buy the newest editions; or do you get away with getting an older version for super cheap?
And how are the exams delivered at Walden? Are they required to be taken at a proctored site, or do you have to be monitored via webcam?
Thank you very much!

i also am starting May 30th with 6 credit, do you know if we are going to need a book for either the nurs 6001 or nurs 6050.
I purchase the edition that is listed on the school site. The test are non proctored. You won't start taking test until Pathophysiology.
You need a book for all classes.
