Hi Mark,
Congratulations! I am also a student at Walden University. I will start clinicals in June and plan on taking two practicum course at a time. I understand I will have to submit a petition form . My question is what exactly do they want to see on the form? I read from your previous post that you did submit a petition form. What did you write on the section that states "what outcome are you seeking". Your input will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Mark,
Congratulations! You are an inspiration to students who are still in this program and wondering what lies ahead.I am also a student at Walden University. I will start clinicals in June and plan on taking two practicum courses at a time. I understand I will have to submit a petition form . My question is what exactly do they want to see on the form? Thank you
For those in the program...thank you for all this great information. I am 53 and considering this AGNP program. Knowing my perfectionist approach to school I think one course per quarter is all I could handle with a FT job. Feedback on this approach for someone my age? I put this school thing off now I'm rethinking my decision. Thank you for any feedback.
Mark,
I would like to pick your brain on a few questions about the last four classes. Did I read correctly that you did stack the four into two semesters? I ask this because both my wife and I are planning on doing the same, her petition already has been accepted to do so in June. I don't start clinicals till December. I wanted to see how it compared to the previous classes in terms of reading, work and such?
Thanks
Eric
lv2bfit, I have applied to Walden as well as UCM's FNP program. I live in Grain Valley, MO and was just wondering what your eperience has been thus far and how much longer you have in the program. Have you had any trouble at all finding preceptors in the area? I would love your input. Thanks for your time!! ~Katie
