Walden has started new a new FNP and AGNP enrolling now for start date in Sept, Oct, and Dec. hope this is helpful to people that are interested.
Sorry to cut in on the discussion but I saw someone post that they were taking advanced pharm along with a practicums is that how it's usually done ? Or can I wait to take the practicums after all core classes are completed ? start date approaching quickly weighing my options . Thanks
I was attempting to take Advanced Pharm. with a practicum, but was informed that it was a prerequisite for the practicum, so it had to be completed prior. I was originally told I could take them together. All of the advanced classes have to be taken prior to starting the practicum.

This eases my mind ;-) thank you for the reply
For those who are still undecided about going to WU, make your decision soon. Demand for WU's FNP program is huge in TX. The university might not be able to accommodate you on your time frame. By the way, for those currently doing their FNP practicum courses - what do you guys think of doing Adult and Pedi clinicals at the same time? Is it doable? Can I at least still work two days a week? Please advice, thanks.

Marc, did you end up taking advanced pharm. by itself ?
I start Advanced Pharm. in 2 weeks, and clinicals in Sept. I will have to take AP by itself because I don't have any more classes to take. I took 3 classes last quarter thinking it would help me but it didn't.
Thank you for the response Im going thru the classes and the way I was thinking of taking my classes will put me in the same boat.
Hi Mark...thanks for all your posts! I'm glad to be in contact with someone ahead of me in WU's FNP program. I took the Graduate Studies program only my 1st quarter and Health Policy and Politics my second quarter. My plan now is to alternate between 1 class and 2 classes each quarter, so June 3 I will take Research and Technology. Can you tell me how each of those classes compare in difficulty and time consumption compared to Health Policy? Thanks!

Research for me was one of the hardest classes so far. It is very research and writing intensive as the name suggest. There is one large paper 10-12 pages, and several smaller ones, not to mention the weekly posts. All in all they are not any harder than Health Policy, but a lot of that will be based on the instructor. Keep in mind that I took 3 classes that quarter, so they all seems hard in that context. I squeaked by with all A's but just barely last quarter, and taking Patho ad Health Assessment this quarter weren't nearly as hard as last quarter.
