Wake Tech Spring 2017 Start

Anyone submitting an application to the nursing program at WTCC this upcoming July for spring 2017? Wanted to connect with others who may be in my shoes. I'm still working on some prerequisites (TEAS and CNA) but hope to finish them up by May. I will be transferring most of my prerequisites in from another school.

I got in you guys. Omg I cannot believe it. It feels so good. But I also feel unprepared af. Lol

It was, thank you! I passed and will be in 112 for the first half of next semester and then 114. And I am sure you will :)
Awesome!!!! is that normal for students to be in 112 and then 114 in the same semester? or are you just that smart? :)

I got accepted today too :)) Congrats 22bebe and all in the background that got a call as well! Now to study the med calculations and practice my skills hahaha

pdlf, CNA, Congratulations on getting accepted! After nursing 111 your second semester will be split in two mini semesters. Half the class will do 112 and half will do 114 and then you'll switch. I don't know why it's not 113 though. I think that's our 3rd semester but I'm not entirely sure.

Have you ladies gotten or ordered the books and or uniforms yet? Also what is in that 70$ lab bundle thing? Idk if I'm going to buy that. Thanks.

Hey 22bebe, no I haven't ordered scrubs yet but will Friday. It's the last day to order before they close for the holidays. I'm ordering books now and will purchase the lab kit probably the 1st day of school. I'm not sure what's in it. Wait....you don't know if you're buying it?? It's required....right??

I'm going to buy books and my Scrub top tomorrow at the store and to check out the lab kit. I can get most hospital related items so if it's just basics like a cheap stethoscope, gauze, belts, scissors. I will make my own, I'll have to ask the clerk lol.

22bebe did you end up going to the bookstore to order scrubs? I second Laila34s question about the lab kit!! And was there a set price for the Nur111 bundle? I know all books are back ordered so mine just comes up as $0 :/

Hey guys they don't have any books/uniforms or kits in the bookstore so I really went for nothing smh. The bundle is 1,052 not including the drug and peds book.

Oh and about the lab kit she said she didn't know what was in it she named that saline was in it last year with other stuff.
