Wake Tech Fall 2020

Is anyone applying to Wake Tech's ADN program for the Fall 2020? How many points do y'all have?

I didn't know it was a volunteer thing, I thought it was a request thing. If I could do the afternoon, I'd prefer it, but if someone absolutely needs that schedule then I'm fine with the morning time. Also, I haven't seen anything about the RSVP form they mentioned on blackboard. They said they would send it out this week but ??‍♀️

I did ask to be in the afternoon clinical. I have two children and thought it easier for my whole family if I could make sure they get to school in the morning and then head in to clinicals. Normal class days are fine as they start a little later than 6:45am LOL.

And yes, it is by request

You can volunteer request. I just emailed whoever they said to email in the post...can’t remember off the top of my head. I have school aged kids, so don’t know what this coming semester will look like for them, so emailed her and asked to be in the afternoon class so I could be home earlier in the day with them. My husband works from home, but usually spends his morning on conference calls, so it makes things easier if I am home during that time as much as possible.

That’s why I did too. I don’t know what on earth this year will look like, and we’re considering homeschooling them. I can get most of my youngest school done before I would have to go to lab or clinical, and my older two manage themselves

So miss ******* told me that people who have their requirements listed are the ones who already have account with wake tech at castle branch , we will get our codes at orientation

I'm sorry to cause confusion guys! I went ahead and bought the Medical Document Manager and asked if I could finish the rest of the requirements that's why she gave me the code. I didn't quite connect those two together and was the reason why I have 14 to-do lists on my account. As per ******* instruction that she will give it during orientation, I will not be ahead of her in telling you about it. ?‍♀️

I think we are going to do the one week on/2 weeks off schedule for the kids but I won’t know which weeks they will be in school for a while and the school year for them is going to be crazy that I thought it better to just do the afternoon clinicals. You’re a trooper to do the homeschooling. It will be nice tho to know someone in clinicals that will be kind of in the same boat as me LOL.

We’re currently at a charter school, so no plans announced yet. We are considering it because virtual learning did not go well last year! So I told me husband anything besides plan 1 and they are homeschooled.

sooooo the did anyone ever see an RSVP document for the nursing orientation?? I feel like they should have let us know by now if we will be meeting online or in person as the orientation is literally less than 48 hours away.

From what I gathered, it was in person for new students, but if you are an alternate or a returning Nur 111 student, then it would be online. I thought they were going to send out that RSVP thing last week, but haven’t heard anything from AJS since that email.
