Hi all! Just wondering who will be applying to the Wake Tech RN program in January, for the Fall 2017 start? I'm finishing up BIO168, BIO175, PSY241 and SOC210 this semester. If I can maintain all As, and get 12 points on my ATI TEAS, I'll have 161 points. Based on the last two classes' initial acceptance ranges, I feel like I'll be an alternate.
Let's hope for today! Anyone out there receive alternate letters yet? I haven't heard of anyone getting them, only acceptance ones. Hopefully none of us are part of this group, but it would also be nice if they notified those who got denied completely so at least no one would be left wondering... if I still haven't received anything in tomorrow's mail I'm going to go up there and find out what's going on because I don't know who to call who would actually know and be able to tell me anything.
Exactly. Am I the only one who wishes they had some sort of automated engine online that could tell us our actual points when we apply? So then at least we wouldn't be stuck worrying later on that we somehow did something wrong. It's kind of weird how they don't ever actually tell us what THEY calculated our points at, since from what I've been told they do it manually.
Does anyone know who I can directly contact in the nursing department to find out more? Ms. Watkins can only tell us so much and I find it kind of screwy that there seems to be no one else we can reach out to for more specific answers or information. At least that I'm aware of and I've been trying to figure out who I can talk to but don't even know where to start :\
Exactly or at least for alternates also but I don't think if it wasn't complete or what not you won't get a letter I guess but I know mine was because she told me via email when I submitted it. One person on here got accepted with 161 points and I have 160 so I would be accepted or at very top of alternate so either way should get a letter I really don't understand what's going on. We have less than 3 weeks to orientation.
I don't understand why some of us haven't received a letter. Even if we didn't get accepted, we should still get a letter saying so.

Nothing today either
I don't think it was a post office holiday though, I didn't even think of that. But I am second guessing everything now! I even recalculated my points during my lunch break today, and the only thing I might have misinterpreted were my points for ENG112. Long looong story but a lot of things happened the semester I took it and I ended the class with a D. My worst and only grade lower than a B, at least as far as any of the prerequisites.
Anyway, I ended up taking ENG114 last semester instead to make up for it, as I was told by three different advisors that it could take the place of 112 and I made an A. But no one could tell me if because it was technically a different course the usual 5 point deduction rules would apply for the original grade since it was meant to take its place. So if it did I may have applied with five points shyer at 157 points and not 162. I know that was probably confusing but hopefully someone gets it and maybe has some kind of answer or insight for me?
Either way, I have been up and down and over every part of my application a dozen times and that's still the only possible reason I could come up with for not getting immediately accepted. Which unless our mail around here really is just that delayed I'm starting to think I wasn't. But I still am confident I'll be an alternate even if I am those five points behind. It's possible they send out the acceptance and alternate letters at separate times. Who knows:o
I really think they need to come up with and work out a better system for the following semesters. Relying on "snail mail" alone just leaves too much room for human error
