Wake Tech Community College Spring 2020

Hey everyone. I’ve been lurking on here for a while now. Looks like they just updated the list and are at alternate #11 now. I’ve been checking blackboard like crazy since orientation and now my anxiety is even higher as I am #11.
Recently, I talked to Hope and she said make sure you are meeting the deadlines as if you are in because you never know how quickly the list will move!

omg you must be freaking out, you're so close!!! I wonder if they had the makeup orientation this week and that's why the list moved so much at once??

Yes! To be this close, but not in, is going to kill me! I’m not sure, but something really made it move. I’m hoping after today’s deadline, maybe some people didn’t order their tests or have decided not to continue and the list will move some more.

I have a stupid question. What's an alternate list?
They never mentioned that in the nursing info session.

It's a list of around 40 students or so who are "waiting" for people who have been accepted to decline their position in order to get a spot.

Just checked blackboard and the alternate list moved yesterday it’s now at #13! Really worried because I am close to that number and wondering if many more people will drop. I’m planning on attending the math review session December 3rd, are any other alternates planning to attend as well?

Yes! They called about a week and half ago to ask if I wanted to accept the spot. Just wanted to follow up with you. Good luck to everyone else and see you at the math session.

hey! does anyone know if we attend the Gateway session on December third if we have to bring in all the chapter questions in the book that was posted on blackboard in addition to the worksheets they posted on there?

Hello! Has anyone contacted the admissions office about the alternate list recently? I’m wondering if I should call and ask if there has been any progress on it because I am close to the next to get accepted. I have seen on web advisor that only 86 people have signed up for class. I know previous years have had around 90 students accepted but thought the class of Spring 2020 had accepted 96. I think that is what was said at the math session, does anyone else know if that is true?? Thank you!
