Wake Tech ADN Fall 2015

U.S.A. North Carolina

I am applying to the Fall 2015 nursing program and was wondering if anyone else was applying. I also wanted to know what points you have, I just want to estimate my chances of getting in for the Fall. I know the Fall semester is always harder to get in at Wake Tech. I am also applying to other programs as well just because I feel like I will be put on the wait list at Wake Tech. :arghh: Just feeling anxious.

I think it's fair they don't give priority to wake tech students. It just gives everyone a fair chance at getting accepted. I'm one of those students all my classes are transferring in from two different schools. I understand the anxiety, Ive had it bad the past couple of days. I'm taking a phlebotomy class in the mean time. A lot of other schools like johnston tech won't find out until about June for their nursing acceptance. But I was told because of the snow and ice is why they were delayed in getting the letters sent out on a timely manner. They usually accept around 80 if I'm correct and 40 alternates. My points are 192 so I'm either one or the other. I guess I'll find out soon enough...

Hey. So I got some new information today. I was told the accepted points range for fall 2015 was 186+. A girl in my phlebotomy class went to the wake tech information session a couple weeks ago and she said that was the points range that she was told they accepted for this fall.

I hope that is true!!! I don't want to get my hopes up too much until I receive my letter, but this is great news :). Thanks for sharing!!

She said 180 ish people applied and they took the top 70

she said the alternates points range went from 185 to like 140 something. I was a little surprised when she said 70

thats 10 less than what they said at the info session I went to

The points dropped quite a bit from last year. I have been over the top anxious! I just want my letter already! Keep me posted if you get in. Good luck!

Please post if you have received your letter. I still have not and it's Wednesday. The seats change from year to year sometimes it 80 other times is less. That depends on the clinical sites and how many seats they are willing to offer Wake Tech. If the point range is 180-ish, which I hope is true than I should get in with my points. I estimated around 188 to 196, and i know that's a bigger difference but it just depends on what classes they elect to count. I took psychology on an online school (strayer) and I got an A but if they don't take it I re-took the class at Wake Tech and got a C because I was taking Bio168 and a chemistry class. I was thinking about transferring to a 4 year university. I just hope I get in but if I don't I hope that I am at the top of the waiting list.

Thank you guys for keeping me informed. I have spoken with other friends that have also applied and they have pretty much stated what you guys have said.

I didn't get my letter yet either. They will probably send them out Friday just to torture us

No letter here yet either. But the girl in my phlebotomy class told me all of the information they released in the information session like a week and a half ago. And she wrote it all down so it was accurate.

Mans be careful transferring to a 4 year. I did that and it screwed me over. I had too many credits and was gonna get pro-rated. So yeah. It's been a mess for me. But yes its 186+ points and the top 70 who applied. I checked online and all my classes (micro and nutrition) transfers back and forth between ecu and wake tech. All my other credits came from jcc. So I should be okay.

Should is the key word. i don't see why they would be picky about credits if the class is equivalent.

I got my letter and I am an alternate. The accepted points range was 198-246

i had 192

I just got mine too. I have 197 points! I'm a little frustrated, but trying to stay positive that I'll be accepted as an alternate. The wait to see what number I am is going to drive me insane. I wish they told us what number we were as alternates!

Lots of universities are sending letters out. Most people apply to community colleges as a second option. Plus I'd people don't attend the info session then they loose their spot too. Fingers crossed for you too

I got my letter and I am an alternate too.í ½í¸¢ But staying hopefull.
