Waiting on TCC for Spring 2010...

Anyone out there also playing the waiting game???

I'm wondering if the notification process of acceptance/denial is any different with the lottery system in place. Any info would be greatly appreciated, especially from anyone that went through the application process this past Winter (the first quarter of the lottery system).

Have you guys done the "happy dance" yet???? I'm doing it RIGHT NOW!!! Just called my hubby - made sure he was off the road before I told him (we don't need any car accidents to spoil the wonderful news!).

Yep - I have child care to figure out as well, but my husband works nights so I know I can get lots of help from him. I'm more scared of the workload (heard lots of horror stories!). Do you gals already have your shots done? I still have to get some, got to get working on that...

I have a few of the shots done. I still need the flu shots and the tb...and i think the varicella... I also need to update my CPR healthcare provider card. geez, i have a lot to do. There's a ton of things to get done. I may go get some shots tomorrow. Shoot, all i was focussing on was getting in. Now the real stuff starts. YIKES!!!

The workload is intense. I have heard plenty of horror stories!! I haven't opened a text book for like 6 months. I should start practicing now. Have you SEEN the nursing texts?? I hear they are ginourmous!! Sheesh, I'm sweating thinking about it. Oh man, i have to start getting stuff organized now. :eek:

I'll be getting some serious shots tomorrow - ouch!

I also need my CPR card and the HIV/AIDS class. I'm pretty sure we'll find out more about these at orientation. Tonight I'm going to make a list of everything I'm going to need to get done, as quickly as possible. I would hate to get this far, then not get something done in time.

How quickly my mind moves from stressing out, to being ecstatic, to stressing out again! But, it is a lovely kind of stress to have...

I am still in denial!! Do any of you know what shots are required? I've never been so thrilled to HAVE to get shots :) I keep going back and checking my number! I really can't believe this still...I've never won a thing in my life!!

I've never won anything either, so I know what you mean - even though I know we deserve this. We deserve to be in the Nursing Program at TCC. There were many others that also deserved this, but we were the ones who got it.

I'm gonna watch the video when it comes up tomorrow - I know what you mean about experiencing some denial. I've gone back to the Nursing page numerous times, making sure my number is still in position 16 - that they haven't taken me down for some reason...

The only legit thing i have ever won was a big cake at the cake walk when i was in elementary school!! This is so unreal too. I'm still in shock. Shots will hurt so good :0) I cant wait to see the video tomorrow either... Its gonna be weird seeing my number pop up! Whats so funny is I went to Random.org last night and played the number generator thing and my number came up within like 10 times....that seemed like a positive sign.
