Waiting list......

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

There is a 4 year wait for the college I want to go to, is it worth it? I can't believe the wait lists are that long now. I just have to take Anatomy & Physiology then take the admissions exam.

How can I be sure that I do go on the TEAS test or other admissions exams? I've been thinking about doing nursing for 5 years and I still can't decide.

Are some schools biased on accepting transfer classes? There are ones that just want you take all of your prereqs at their college. Did you take one class at a time or take multiple science classes together?

Some schools do it for money, places like brown mackey college, but most community colleges have transfer programs to the universities in the area. Most credits should transfer depending on the school, but you can go talk to an advisor beforehand to straighten that out. I took multiple classes at once but I couldn't do that with science, in our school one science precedes the other so they have to be done in that order. But if you can take them all at once, go for it!

Take both the Chem class and the Computer class then apply to both schools. It is always best to apply to multiple schools. Don't put all of your eggs in one school's basket.

In my area the TEAS test is only for an ADN. The BSN programs don't use it. Maybe it is different where you live.

I'm talking about like taking General Chemistry with Anatomy & Physiology. Is the Summer session too fast for classes like General Chemistry and A&P?

It depends on you, I was able to take A&P during a 8 week summer class and got an A, I wouldn't recommend taking another class with it during the summer though, I was at school every day of the week and cramming on the weekends, no time for anything else.

No leisure time or any type of summer fun?
