Waiting List for Phoenix schools

I am moving from Denver and the waiting lists here for all of the nursing programs are long you could possibly wait 1-2 years to get in. My question is how hard is it to get into the programs for say LPN-RN programs if you have all your prereqs. Also I had started the LPN-BSN program at University of Phoenix does any have any insite into their program in Phoenix.

Wow, that's so funny because I'm considering moving from Phx to Denver and I think I've seen your name on the Colorado thread. Do you already have your LPN? I've heard that it's pretty easy to get into a program at one of the CC's if you already have your LPN, as long as your pre-req's are done. I'm not sure about the University of Phoenix, I thought they only did an RN to BSN program, that's what they told me when I called for info about their program.

When are you planning on moving? What area are you looking to move to? You should have an easier time getting into a program here than in Denver.

Yes, I already have my LPN and I have all my prereqs except Chemistry. I'll probably move near the military base because I have a friend in the air force. I spoke with the advisor their in phoenix @ UOP they said their LPN-BSN will start sometime this summer. I moving in April. Do you know which hospitals will hire LPNs in Phoenix?

You will have no wait at all jumping into the community college district as an LPN. That is what I did. You have to take the NET test and the HESI and score over 900 or something to qualify.

I have dissapointing news for you regarding hospital work as an LPN though. Hardly any hire LPNs. The VA hospital does and I don't think any others do. Mostly LPNs work at long term care in Phoenix.
