i started school in 2007. I went parttime and gradded out 6/17/09. My class was required to take the HESI. Okay, it was to be like a cumulative test of all 4 terms right? NOT..... It was the worst test Iv ever taken. No amount of prepreration could have been done for that. I passed with a 658. 900 was passing according to HESI people. 700 was passsing according to the school standards. Damn, missed it by a few. Well, those of us who failed were REQUIRED to take an extended learning program(ELP) class and extend our grad date, Okay. 3 weeks of elp, wonderful review, beautifully knowledged teacher. I re took the hesi last nite, and i tell ya. It was worse than the first. No systems. no disorders, no pathios, all delegating. ***???? So, now my life hangs in the balance. I am ready to go and work at starbucks and give op, forrevverr!!! So, well see.

I am a Junior in the RN program and we have to make a 900 to passs the Hesi after every semester class. I can only make in the 800s. I need help as well. Good Luck!!!!!

All this talk about hesi exit exam and how difficult it is has me a little nervous. today there was a group of lpn students who took the exam yesterday and did not pass- with only two weeks to graduate. now remediation is mandatory or they won't graduate. they said some of the questions didn't make sense, they said it was easy, so they thought, but that was just a trick. none of these exams are easy. they will have answers that maybe right but another one that is better and that's what got them.

I'm praying that you passed it this time. you've worked so hard to get to this point. good luck! :wink2:

i fear hesi more than nclex. the questions are retarded. i got ok grades during school. I ended up with a 3.4 gpa for the program. I have studied off the hesi disk and the nclex disk and neither o0ne helped. Whats even harder is trying to explain it to my truck driver husband. He ays with all that studying why cant u pass? I wonder that too. My life for the pastg 2 years has been nursing school. And all this time invested to just be crushed. I wish we could do this at the end of each term, Its not a hard test, the format is just unapproachable. It dosent corralte with what weve studied.

i feel ya sis. I wish we could practice this at the end of each term. I have totally second guess myself about this nursing thing. We had a class at in term 4 called Leadership. That class was a compleate waste of time. That was where we shold have been taught about delegation. Thats what the hesi mostly consist of. NOOO, we did one r eport on one journal article, for 8 weeks. Thanx for ur encouragement, i sstiil dont know resulsts.

Can anyone tell me if we can get hesi practice tests to do online? Where it wil give you a score and everything.

Yeah! Congratulations!

Now you know what to do for RN school :) Hundreds of NCLEX style questions, 1000's of them :)

I'm finishing up my JII semester, and we have HESI's at the end of every term. Just took it today and scored a 1056.

Really, there is no possible way to study for it except to get familiar with the format of the questions. Read and study hard for every course test. The knowledge you gain in clinicals is dynamite, too! GOOD LUCK ALL! :yeah:
