Waiting to hear from Bronx Lebanon Hospital

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Greetings everyone!!!

I'm a new graduate and I interviewed for Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center on July. The nursing manager said that he liked me and that he has passed my name to their HR. He mentioned that it will take them a while for them to contact me.

My friend was told that she was hired but she hasn't heard from them yet as well.

I was just wondering what him giving my name to their HR implied and how long does it usually take them to get back to their applicants.

Thank you very much! Any help would be appreciated. It's been very tough to find a job as a new graduate. It's actually very depressing to feel this useless. Praying for the good things to me and to the other unemployed nurses having a difficult time.

Hi feralchild!

Just came upon your post. I am interviewing at Bronx Lebanon in a few days and wanted to know what kind of questions did they ask you? I am so nervous! I am also a new grad.

Specializes in MedSurg, PACU, Maternal/Child Health.

Post on the New York forum for more response. I don't know how to transfer your post. But go to U.S and then New York and you can repost there ...this section is the national forum so most people in new York post on the new York forum as people outside new York may not be familiar with new York hospitals

Hi Auchipie

That sounds great. How is the process so far? Good luck. Hopefully you'll find something :)

Hi poettree!

Good luck on your interview. Mmm. I was asked about my past experiences and one of the questions that I remember most is "what was the hardest decision I made this year" What unit are you interviewing for?

For those of you who are new grads, agency nurses or even PRN, Stay away from Bronx Lebanon Hospital. If you are experienced PRN or an agency nurse you will get one single day orientation on the floor. Is it enough time to get familiar with all the hospital policies etc plus the computer system? But they will tell you to come to work at your own expense (while you have to work to pay your bills)

Staff nurses don't want to be preceptors because they're very busy. And at some floors the staff nurses are not welcoming while you're there to lower their patient ratio. It is a very disorganized hospital. I couldn't emphasize it more.
