Waiting for ATT (May 2016 Grad)

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello!

I'm a recent grad from an out-of-state school. I just got my BSN in the beginning of May and applied for the CA RN license by examination in mid-March. I haven't received my ATT yet and I'm starting to get anxious! I know some grads from local CA nursing schools have already received their ATT weeks ago.

If you could share with me about your timeline that would be great! Anyone in the same boat as me?

Thanks!!

Hi jayylay,

Thanks for sharing! I will do that as soon as I get my ATT!

Hey also graduated in May15 from Out of State school they sent out final transcript to CABON by 06/01. But I did my CA application a while back in April so i wonder why they took so long it has been 12 weeks since I applied and everytime i check their time process online Processing Times they'r still processing applications received March 1-15! I am a little anxious now i need my ATT...

Any news for out of state students to get their ATT?

Hi nsul1990,

I'm still waiting for mine. I applied on March 15 and still haven't heard back from them yet. It has been a long wait for me as well. I called and emailed them before and was not able to reach anyone at the office. They've been working through applications received 3/1 - 3/15 for about 4 weeks now. I'm planning on visiting the office in a few days! It is an extremely slow process, especially for out-of-states (in my opinion)!

Hey all. My date of submission to the California BRN was April 28th (that's the day they physically received my app and started working on it). I graduated May 18th and my school sent our transcripts the first week of June. It's been 11 weeks since I submitted my application and almost 2 months since I graduated and still I have no ATT or Interim permit. Guess that's just part of being in California.

So we are on the same boat pretty much. I called them couple weeks ago after hours of waiting and they said they have been working on 3/1-3/15 for over 4 weeks now... and the next cycle will be 3/16-3/30 and then 4/1-4/15 . So you should be on the current process now since you applied on march 15th! They are really bad on updating stuff lately too.. Let me know if you visit the office whats the new update... All my friends already passed the NCLEX and have their RN i am still waiting to get my ATT. sucks lol. So far it takes about at least 5 months for out of state people to get their ATT

Hey guys when you check breeze what does it say on the application status part? Is it

initial rn license by exam-pending?

When I check breeze mine says pending for initial RN application and interim permit.

I called the BRN today and they said they are officially working on March 16-March 30th.

Mine says Board of registered nursing-1- RN initial Exam application. Status: Pending

Oh thanks @Mamajaan finally they are moving to the next cycle.. i hope they don't work on it for over 4 weeks. cross my fingers

Does anyone knows why mine says rn intial license by exam? Does anyone knows what it means?

Hi Mamajaan,

They are working on 3/16 - 3/31 now? I still haven't received my ATT and I submitted on 3/15! Oh no, now I'm really worried.

Hi shesanurse,

That means you applied for the RN license through examination (NCLEX) for the first time in CA. All new grads go through this process, unless you already got a RN license from another state. You're on the right boat!
