Wait listed for VCU-- need admission advice

Hi, everyone

My name is christelle, I'm going to a community college (NOVA) at the moment, and graduating this may yyyaaaahhh :D with an associate in science. I'm planning to transfer to VCU for their nursing program. But unfortunately VCU has waitlisted me :cry: this university has being my dream university since high school, I have taken all their course requirement and I'm really worried. Do I still have a chance? Does anyone have any experience concerning this? what is the waitlist process?

Hi Christelle! I am also graduating from NOVA this May, but with an A.A.S. in Nursing. :laugh: I also got wait-listed (for RN-BSN program) for the fall semester, and as disheartened as I am right now, I am still hopeful that people will drop out and/or people in the waiting list opt for the spring semester instead.

Hopefully we get in!

I am also waitlisted (#15) for the RN-BSN program at VCU. Does anyone know how deep they go in the waitlist typically? I'm guaranteed for the Spring 2015 semester, but I would prefer to start this fall! Good luck to everyone!

hey guys

I just graduated this Sunday :up:. I had to send VCU my transcript for the semester and I believe that they will make the decision base on my performance this semester. hope everyone did good and I hope that enough people drop out so that we will be accepted. Since I don't have any bachelor degree, I'm doing the traditional path, so the waiting list doesn't have a rank. I'm hearing back from them this week, so I'm crossing my fingers. GOODLUCK EVERYONE.

I forwarded my transcript and they responded that they will contact me if a spot opens up. Just have to wait for now...
