Wait list at Nassau Community

Hi!

I applied to the nursing program at NCC but I did not get in. For those who did not get in on your first try - If you called the nursing department to see where you are on the wait list would they tell you?

didnt know there was a waiting list at NCC..i am there right now..i will be applying in the fall semester..but i am missing 2 classes...ahs132 and micro..but will apply with my 28 credits..but what i heard is that you just got to keep applying..there is no waiting list

Its not an official waitlist but just a list of those who did not get into the program. If a seat opens up they offer the seat to the next person on the list.

The nursing staff told us at the orientation that if you call them they will tell you what place you are on the wait list. Give it a try. Call the nursing office. :)

I called the nursing department and they said that they could not give me that information. I do not understand why. Some people could use that info in planning their next steps.

That's strange because I remember in the Nursing Information Session they said that you could call and find out what number you are in line for the wait list. Maybe you could try calling another office or speaking to someone else. I would mention that you were told they would tell you what number you are on the list. Keep trying. :)
