hi guys!! got a question here. i have a meeting with financial aid this week and i am having trouble locating my w2s. i'm still searching, but i am getting nervous that i haven't found them yet!! what happens if i can't find them? i guess i need to request them? i do have my actual taxes because i did those online so i have those printed out. has this happened to anyone else? my school starts next month, and i doubt that new w2s for myself and my husband would arrive by then! without the w2's i guess i would be ineligible for financial aid??
thank you for any help!!

have you filled out a FAFSA online? You need info from either the actual tax return or your w2 or both. go here: www.fafsa.ed.gov to fill out the app. It was required by any school I applied to before they would even CONSIDER my financial aid package.. Let me know if you need more help.

I am currently an accountant going back to school for nursing this month. Just call your employer that issued the W2, they have to keep copies of them for 3-5 years. They can fax you a copy or youc can stop and pick one up.

I'm self-employed, so I don't have W2s, so when I file my financial aid paperwork (if the school asks for anything other than my FAFSA), I give them a copy of my taxes. It has always been sufficient.

A copy of your tax forms from 06 will have the same info as your W2 :).
