visit california just to take nclex

Hi.. I arrived seattle through k1 visa.. I am a nurse in the Philippines.. I found out that washington state requires cgfns, toefl, etc,.Can I just take my license in california even though i don't live there.. I just have few cousins there.. Thank you so much..

Yes you can take the state board there, my Filipina wife is studying for her boards in CA. We live in TN. And I believe that you can take the CA boards where you live, but you'll want to check that part out for sure.

You don't have to physically go to CA to take the NCLEX. You can apply to get a CA license, take the NCLEX at a testing center in WA and request the results be sent to CA. NCLEX is a national exam, however to practice you need a state license.
