Visa Arrival - How long after interview?

I was wondering how long the visa arrives after the interview for those who've had minor problems or missing docs.

My friend had her interview almost 2 weeks ago, but for some reason the embassy misplaced her passport. They let her go on with the interview. In releasing she was given a document list stating she had to go back to St. Luke to look for her passport there. After 4 hours with the embassy & St. Luke pointing a finger on each other, they finally found her passport in the embassy.

I know interviews that are documentarily complete receive their visas within a week. But what about those with missing documents? How long after submission do you expect the visa? My friend's visa has not arrived yet. When they finally found her passport, the lady said it may take a slight delay because they have to reopen and review her file like all incomplete files. Any ideas?

guys i know its hard to wait but as the SAYING GOES:GREAT THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO PATIENTLY WAIT!

abi i called up the embassy last june and they told me to wait after 2 weeks and then i called up last july and they asked me to wait and ff up after 4-6 weeks..the embassy call is really expensive.how do you contact them thru mail?pls feed us the info..thanks.

hi shyrn and to everybody! thank god i already received my visa and my dependents visa this morning. i have waited for almost seven weeks, i have submitted my lacking dox (july10), the pre and post rn rate job offer letter and nbi clearance of my married name.. i just included my husband in the ds230 during the interview and paid for the visa fee on his time of interview, its because i got married after submission of ds230 /packet 3.. i have not called the embassy to follow up, because its too expensive and they would always tell you that it is under process.. to shyrn,i have wrote a letter to the consul general and chief immigrant visa unit almost every week, through fax, mail and email.why dont you try writing them, i think it would be helpful.just check on the website of us embassy manila for the fax number and address...the long wait is over at last... god is an answering god. god is good all the time..thank you lord for this blessing! for those who are still waiting just keep on praying! i know it will arrive soon.. i will still include you in my prayers.. god bless to all!

i usually write directly to the consul general, and immigrant visa chief..i send then a letter every week of mail, email and fax.. they would not usually respond, but i continue on doing this every week, sometimes they need to be prompted..they will not reply, but i guess through my constant writing, they already send our visas... they just replied on all my inquiries today through my email, informing me that my visa was approved aug 25... just keep on following it up with the.. GOD is good, and He will give ur visa in His time.. im praying 4 u..
