Visa Arrival - How long after interview?

I was wondering how long the visa arrives after the interview for those who've had minor problems or missing docs.

My friend had her interview almost 2 weeks ago, but for some reason the embassy misplaced her passport. They let her go on with the interview. In releasing she was given a document list stating she had to go back to St. Luke to look for her passport there. After 4 hours with the embassy & St. Luke pointing a finger on each other, they finally found her passport in the embassy.

I know interviews that are documentarily complete receive their visas within a week. But what about those with missing documents? How long after submission do you expect the visa? My friend's visa has not arrived yet. When they finally found her passport, the lady said it may take a slight delay because they have to reopen and review her file like all incomplete files. Any ideas?

I have not heard anyone who had another schedule for interview after submission of lacking documents. I hope it would not take too long for us to wait for the receipt of our visa.. God bless to us all. To shyRN, just follow up with the US embassy..keep us posted!

in our case 3 months... but always follow it up thru calling the embassy... just be patient and it will arrive in time... god bless..

Hi, I need help on how long will it take for visa to be issued. I was interview lastAug. 01 and submit the lacking document(Visascreen) last Monday Aug. 14. Anyone who can help me.. please

try to check on the forum..Had my consular interview but dox under review...in my case its been more than 5 weeks up to now i dont have my visa with me.. there are a lot of nurses in this forum with the same situation but up to now, still no visa..try to call up the embassy to check on ur status

hi Yna we have similar experience and its been almost 2 months of waiting but i havent receive my visa yet, i have a friend who submitted her lacking dox the same day i submitted mine and it only took her 14 days,anyways dont be dissappointed if it will take some time b4 they issue the visa,just pray that you will receive it as soon as possible..anyways try reading some of the forums in"had consular interview,,lacking dox"it would help alleviate your worries knowing your not alone,.godbless

August will be over and still i don't have any news about my visa..its been 2 months and 2 weeks to be exact..your right, we really have to wait because it's beyond our control...let's just keep on praying and hope for the best...lets keep in touch..

the consul just required me to submit my nbi clearance.its almost 3 months but no news about my visa...its kind of sad thinking about it...but we have to stretch our patience and pray harder...hope we can receive it next month...lets just hope for the best...God bless and lets keep in touch...Congrats Yna!

hi shyRN and len nurse! how often do contact the embasssy?did u try writing the immigrant visa unit in embassy? im depressed because its almost 2 months since i submitted the lacking dox, but they always tell me that it is still for processing.. i dont know what took them so long to review the documents.. i can't wait any longer...huhuhu:scrying: ... to ynah, congrats, hope we get our visa too soon.
