Hey yall! I was just wondering if VA is pushing towards mostly BSN or are their some places accepting ADN? Do UVA and Martha Jefferson still accept ADNs?

Most of VA has a push for BSN with national certification
Do you know what areas dont? will it be impossible to land a job with an adn?

Your best luck would be to call HR offices of hospitals you are interested in. I would also not limit yourself to big hospitals like UVA but look at smaller community hospitals that might be more likely to hire ADN or diploma nurses

UVA definitely hires ADN nurses in their acute care and ICUs.

UVA hires ADNs, period. Is it more difficult than if you have a BSN? Sure. They will give you a time frame for getting a BSN, but you will NOT be automatically excluded for not having a BSN. Almost all hospitals NOT in Northern or eastern Virginia will hire ADN nurses.
It's definitely not impossible, but like everywhere in the country, hospitals in the more desirable/populated areas are much more exclusive/difficult - those areas in Virginia would be metro DC, Richmond, and Tidewater/Hampton Roads area.
