For all the non compact nurses who applied for a endorsed Virgina license, how long did it take to have your actual license, not temp license? It says 6 weeks, but I am curious as to what others experience has been, as I am moving down there in about 4 weeks.

I moved from Nebraska (compact state) to Virginia (compact state), so I can't relate to the non-compact state timeline. It took me awhile to get my required documents together, but it does take about 4-6 weeks. I had to do fingerprinting. I noticed after a few weeks, they hadn't moved my application. So, I emailed them and I had a license the next day. Keep an eye on your application and if it's been longer than 4-6 weeks, email or call them.

hi, can I ask you a quest? were you international student? My education emulation did not go thru CGFN . MY NUSING SCHOOL SUMMITED DIRECTLY TO NYSED. I passed NCLEX and I have new york RN license but I want to transfer it to virginia now. I read the VA board about endorsment . they request CGFN DOCUMENT TO APPROVE MY FORGEIN EDUCATION. but I already arroved by new york education department. so I was eligible to take NCLEX. any suggestion? jen
