Members are discussing acceptance into the VCU DNAP program, with some receiving acceptance emails and others being waitlisted. There is confusion about finding the Facebook group for the program, questions about relocation requirements for the program, and a discussion on the differences between a DNP and DNAP degree in terms of teaching opportunities. Some members share their excitement about getting accepted, while others seek advice on reapplying to the program.
Is anyone in here applying for the upcoming VCU CRNA application cycle for January 2025 start?

Thanks, I have to weight my options, I got into 2 other dnp programs and this is the only DNAP. So I'll have to do a little more research about what's best for myself.

Makes sense! Does anyone know when deposits need to be made by just so I can keep an eye out for an email?

From what I read, DNP is a terminal degree, and some schools don't consider DNAP a terminal degree, therefore if you wanted to teach one day at those schools, then you couldn't kind of thing?

I believe this is incorrect. You can teach with either degree, the difference mostly being administrative as one is overseen by a school of nursing while the other is overseen by a school of medicine. I have heard there is a slight preference to hire the same degree that the school offers for professors but I don't know how true this statement is.
