Just wondering if anyone applied for Villanova DNP/CRNA program to start 2022 and has heard back about interviewing?

No, not yet

I was registered for this semester by someone else But was able to register for Summer 2021. I just had to get a password from my counselor.

Did Taryn Miller register you for the courses? I was trying to send her an email but it bounced back and it said her email wasn’t working. If you don’t mind me asking who did you get in contact with to register?

Yes that’s who registered me for this semester. I don’t think she works for the university anymore. Now it’s Rachel N’Diaye. She should be able to help you.

Oh no wonder I couldn’t send her an email. Thanks for the info!

Hi everyone,

I am looking to apply to Villanova for the next cohort. I saw they recently open their application and stated deadline is Sep 30th. Do they do rolling interview/admission? Or do they wait till after the deadline to review all applications? Thanks!

Rolling admission.  So best to get it done asap especially since the application is for a cohort starting years ahead.

I think it depends on your study and time management skills as well as your life outside of work. Research wasn't terrible but it was a lot of writing - 2 big papers with a rough draft each, plus a final exam. I've heard the pharm professor is great and I'm looking forward to the class. I think it will be nice to have some classes out of the way before starting full time, and I plan to keep working as long as I can while I'm in the program. I'm using the classes ahead of time to get back into school mode. I usually get more done at coffee shops or libraries but that isn't an option right now.

what are the 3 classes that you are able to talk prior to starting the program? Are they Research, patho and pharm? Adv phys assessment was also highlighted yellow

Yes - those 3. Phys Assessment is the first Summer of the program. It’s not an option to take early but maybe it was previously

What are you taking this Summer?

So I just got bumped to 2022 (initially due to start 2023) and not sure what to take in Summer while working fulltime. I am searching for classes now and see that Phys Assessment is FULL (but is all online). So the 30 students signed up for this must be in their 1st Summer?

Do you think Research and Patho will be do-able while working fulltime in the Summer?

Also, there isn't Pharm offered totally online- all I see if Fall which is in-person.

were u able to take Pharm fully online prior to starting the program?

I took it online this semester but I think it’s usually in person. A few classes went virtual for COVID reasons. Im taking physical assessment in the fall and I think that’s in person.

The dilemma I am in is that I have only this Summer and the fall to take what I can prior to starting in Jan. I see that I can take Patho and research in either Summer or the fall, but Pharm is only in-person in the Fall. Do you think taking research and Patho only this Summer is overdoing it? Im still working FT but will have most of June off- and semester finished Aug 2.

Also, if you don't mind sharing a few tips about Patho and Research (assignments, papers, etc.). THANKS !!
