Villanova BSN Express

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Hi,

Is there anyone who is applying for admission for May 2009? Is anyone currently attending the program?

Hello.

I think you and I must have interviewed on the same day for the Villanova BSNExpress program. I was there on Nov. 4th, I interviewed right after I voted :). Do you remember who you interviewed with..?

I was really nervous, and I've not heard back.. They said I would hear back by mid-December..

I guess I'm especially worried because my current job is becoming too unbearable.. If I hear back, at least I know I'll suffer for only a few more months.. :)

I interviewed on the 4th too, with Dr. Mariani! Try not to get too anxious waiting, I only found out this soon because I had to let Jefferson know whether I wanted to send a deposit in by the end of November. Good luck!

PRINCESSAJAMMA who did you interview with in October? I interviewed with Bette Marianni, PhD, RN, on November 4th and have not heard back.. getting nervous too..

A nice letter in the mail would be nice.. Everyday I come home, I rush to the mailbox..lol.. :)

Thanx -so- much for your words, they mean a lot to me.. I guess I'm just getting a little worked-up about not knowing/ the suspense.. It's exciting but nerve racking too.. :)

I applied to four schools and have only heard back from one (bad news from UPitt) who instead of sending -me- a rejection letter, sent it to my parents in CA..! ..lol.. PS I live in Bucks County, PA.. :).

So I have three schools to wait for, AND a whole lot of suspense.. Stay tuned.. :)

How did your interview at Villanova go? I was actually really nervous after mine, because it wasn't an interview at all in my case...it was more of a question/answer session for me haha. She only asked me about my job, and explained the curriculum. I wasn't really sure how to judge whether or not I was accepted!

Honestly, I felt really nervous during the interview and she actually asked me several questions. She asked questions about why I moved from CA to PA, and about my current job, what I did at my current job, etc. She asked very general things, nothing uncomforable like scrutiny.. :). However, I was really nervous, and when I get nervous my voice gets weird and I blush.. (awe...) .. lol.. that's what worries me I guess.. The funny thing here is, that I'm generally very outgoing and not-weirdish like I felt during MOST of the interview (lol).. I guess it's b/c I REALLY like Villanova, so I think that I may have come across like a freak.. ..lol.. I must say though, she was super nice from start to finish..thankfully.

She also asked one healthcare question. She asked me to discuss one difficulty, that I foresaw that nurses might face in the future.

Toward the end she explained the curriculum. And like you, I too asked lots of questions about the curriculum and the program (and didn't feel as shy..but it wasn't until the last part of the interview..).

And, at the very end of the interview I actually felt like she gave me a green light..or hint about acceptance..

However, wait time for a response has sort of made me think the news might be bad though.. BUT, hearing how/ why you got your answer early, gives me some hope..so thanks for hope..! (cheers to keeping hope alive!)

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about the wait time...they originally told me mid-December, and I imagine with all of the people they have to interview (I think everybody who applied automatically is interviewed if I'm not mistaken), they may even fall behind on the admissions committee decisions.

I have three more pre-reqs to take (Pathophysiology online, Developmental Psych, and a religion credit), and I'm definitely not looking forward to starting class again in January! haha

Hi, I am new to this website but I was so happy to see that I am not the only one who is about tohave a heart attack waiting to hear back from Villanova. I also applied to , and got accepted. I also sent my deposit which I didn't want to do but had to so I insured I would be going somewhere.

I am hoping to hear back soon.....

Apoptotic,

I too hav 3 prereqs to do for Villanova.. I'll be doing a 3-unit accelerated course for Dev Psych in the winter (not looking forward to that), and will be taking A&P II and a religion course in the spring (unless I don't hear back good news, then I'll only take A&P II in the spring).

Take care.

PS When I hear something from Villanova, I'll post it (lets hope it's good).

Hey everyone, I just got my acceptance letter to the BSNExpress on Saturday, the 13th!! :D I'm from central New Jersey, but I went to the Open House in October and loved everything about it! I had an interview on Nov. 21st and left with a haunting feeling of rejection, even though I was more relaxed during the second half of the interview. I guess that didn't matter much, since I was accepted.

I just have to take the Pathophysiology course online in the Spring before I can guarantee my spot as a BSNExpress student. Does anyone else have that course to take?

Also, I obviously have to live in the Villanova area but I've never lived away from home before (I commuted in college). So I was wondering how I should go about housing and who to call?

I compared the amount of credits with this program vs. UMDNJ and another school and noticed that Villanova has about 10 more credits in their 14month program. I hope this challenge won't be too unbearable. I positive that everything will work out well especially with the good things I've heard about the faculty.

If any present/past BSNExpress students could clarify those things for me (and calm my nerves), I'd really appreciate it! I'm very excited and overwhelmed about this new experience. I can't wait!! :D

has anyone heard back from villanova's alternate sequence curriculum program for fall 2009??

Hello,

I contacted the school last week. They were in the process of reveiwing the applications and I was told that decisions would be made by the end of April.

Hope this is helpful.
