Hello,
Is there a difference between the 2 types of dementia vesicular vs vascular? When looking on line it can be confusing and I was curious.
Thank you

Where did you hear the term "vesicular dementia?"
As far as I'm aware it doesn't exist. Could it be a misspelling of vascular?

The 2 types of dementia are cortical and sub-cortical. Named for the area of the brain where they occur. Mind you these two categories are extremely broad . . .

You can classify dementia any number of ways, including location, causes, and behavior. Vascular dementia usually refers to an ischemic event damaging areas of the brain, and thus, affecting the function of those areas.

Never heard of vesicular dementia. Neither apparently has Google.
