Published

Hey!

Everyone who has applied to any Texas Versant Programs for 2014. Let's all chat here. I am going to be a Graduate Nurse in May. I have applied to various Texas Versant programs including: Texas Health Resources, Children's Medical, Parkland. If you've reached this post, you're searching the internet looking for more information too. It really helps when we can chat back and forth. Who knows maybe we'll be coworkers one day! Hopefully we can all keep each other informed during the process. Fingers and toes crossed! Good Luck everyone!!

@ I want it BAD, what position did you apply for?

Specializes in NICU Nurse.

One of mine changed to 'filed' and the other 2 are still the same considering/application in review.

@I want it BAD - did you apply to any of Parkland's internships? Have you heard anything from them yet?

Hey all

Im An ADN graduating in may. Just checked my THR status and it says considering. I wish I would have looked at the status right after I applied so I could know what it started out as. It seems controversial on the posts as to what the status says when first applied. If anyone knows for sure what came first let me know! Did it say application received or considering at first? thanks.

According to my THR, it went from considering>application in review>forwarded to hiring manager

O ok Thanks SSRM..I was wondering how long they typically take ...I applied as an experienced RN, SO I guess we will see! Good luck to everyone..

Checking for an update :)

Has anyone gotten an interview for Parkland, THR, Baylor, UT Southwestern or Methodist?

UT called my classmate yesterday and scheduled an interview

Specializes in NICU Nurse.

Had my parkland interview yesterday. I think it went well overall.

In these interviews, do you guys ever feel like you have a hard time trying to verbalize your thoughts? I actually wasn't too nervous yesterday but when they started asking the situational questions I just felt like a blubbering idiot :( Now looking back I keep saying "oh I could have said that better" or "Oh why didn't I mention that?". It frustrates me!

Definitely know how you feel Briterz! I practice and practice but when it's the actual interview, I can't string together a quality sentence. Sigh.

I've been preparing responses based on previous interviews and from what my classmates tell me they were asked. Knowing me, I'll forget them all when I'm in front of a panel.
