Vermont license renewal 2015 needs SSN

Hello, Im really worried about he new rule from the State Vermont regarding license renewal in 2015. It is stated that they will not accept an application for renewal not unless you have a social security number. As a foreign nurse, how can I pursue my application for US if i will not be able to renew my license. Im thinking of having my license endorsed to other state but most of the states do require an SSN. Please hep me with these problem. Im sure that alot of foreign nurses are worried about this issue. do u presently live in us or any other country plz endorse for newyork state as they dont require ssn number for forign nurses

As far as I am aware it is a federal requirement so even applying to another state the requirements may be the same. Doesn't mean you have lost anything just license put on hold and once in the US and have a US SSN easy to renew. Best bet is check with state BON

@ silver dragon --- Im not in the US. The problem is I cant obtain an SSN because no employer to sponsor for green card.:nailbiting:

I understand tht but we are seeing more and more states require a US SSN for renewal and I believe that is a federal requirement so going to another state you will still see the same requirement pop up.

Yes you will need to go through CVS for NY
