Vermont bon giving me headache

Hello friends,

i was feeling so bad when vermont bon is giving me a real hard time on my application for nclex...i openned this up inorder to be spared of this missery i felt.....

Last May 2007 I took the chicago nclex and failed. Then last Jan 2009 I applied for Vermont nclex, and it took me 8 long months of waiting before they responded to my application. First they asked for my failure result, I provided them. I was then so happy to see that i no longer have pending requirement on my account. A week passed and no elligibility was given to me, I followed it up. Vermont BON replied that since I no longer have pending requirement I could now apply for ATT though I don't have the elligibility yet,and so I did. I paid $200 application for ATT, then 2 weeks passed and I was not issued an ATT. I followed up again, this time Vermont bON replied that my APPROAVAL WAS AN ERROR and I need to take an assessment exam from my review center since I took my last nclex 2 years ago.. I told them that my application was received by the office Jan 2009 way behind May 2009 which makes it 2years. They answered they are sorry for their backlog but then i need to take the exam. And so I took my assessment exam from my review center then submitted to the BON my score of 95%. They didn't accepted it for the reason that my review center is also doing the processing for NCLEX applications and that I need to take the assessment from the review center that they knew.....HUH!!!! I felt so down now...all of us knows that most review centers are helping their reviewees on their nclex applications....i did asked what accreditted review centers that they knew and they answered Kaplan and ncsbn online....my God!!! in this present crisis why they are still doing all this...

Please please I need your suggestions on what to do. I am so afraid that when I will comply with this I will spend more and they will again look for another problem.

how come?? same as what cali did to me. waited for 5months for me to get my eligibility. my kaplan enrollment even expired before receiving my permit. but now that i hav it,,getting ready for the big exam. whew..

When did you paid the $200 registration fee? Since it's valid for a year. That definitely sucks when it's all their fault. I had a problem with VT BON too when I took my first exam on March 09 and failed. It took 3 months for them to send my candidate performance and sent it to the wrong address. So we got the result around June 09 when they're supposed to send it like a month after. I hope they could figure it out. Good Luck!

I paid my $200 only last August, yeah I know that will expire in a year time and so I plan to transfer my application to New Mex...do you think its a good move??? So feeling bad that my application to vermont was a big waste of time and money :cry:

I hope you have better luck dealing with the New Mexico board. Sounds like you've really had a time with Vermont.
