VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Sorry you did not get in. I also did not pass got a 16.9 in reading and 5.8 in math. Math is my worsed subject. I applied to boces for math course its free. Boces of levittown new york.

There are short phlebotomy courses you can take to start working until next year. This really bummed me out I am so upset . I think the way they run things is ridiculous. The big wigs have gotten in alot of trouble for taking funds $3k for every meeting they go to. THey also do not pay rent on that building. So much corruption they want the money up front.

But then they have you by the you know what for a month. Only to find out that you did not pass. They have no bridge program. I just dont get it they should want to train as many nurses as they can. Especially in this stupid economy.

They should tell you to go to a refresher course before hand.

Instead of telling you to get a book and study from that.

Malenurse,,I know they have a CNA program through the Nassau Boces..I went there for my Medical Assistant Certification..I heard great things about the CNA program..Look up online. Good Luck.

Bmommy there is no one possible in ny that you can get a reference from and hand deliver it by the 18th???? Please dont let this chance slip away. . . . . . There has to be someone in ny or if the reference for out of state wouldnt mind overnighting it that could work otherwise I dont know but please make it happen by the 18th:D:D:typing

The nurse who mailed my reference said she mailed it thursday,,so i am praying! Since I moved to NY i have been a stay at home mom,,I do babysit for a mother but not sure if that would be considered a reference..I know,,I cant believe this!

It's only the 18 because if pass and my letter on Mon or tue or what if the 1st group people that's their date I think that some our mail got lost . I hope it comes Mon .

Im sure you can hand them in on the 18th because thats the deadline date. But if you have any doubts about it call them. I hope we are classmates to make sure you get those letters in!!!! lololol :typing:typing:typing
