VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

malenurse from what i read on this entire 53 page thread is that there will be long division, word problems, fractions, integers, decimals, percentages and absolute values....this is from what ppl said their exam consisted of in the past 3 weeks or so....when is your exam??

there is nnnnnnnooooooooo wwwwwwwwwooooooooorrrrrrrrrrdddddddddd pppppppppppprrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooobbbbbbbbbbbbblllllllllllleeeeeeeeemmmmmmmmsssssssss!!!!!!!!!!lolololol

goodluck to those taking their test tomorrow and goodnight everyone I'm gettin alittle sleepy

lol..ma fault...well i hope i covered everything on this thread that malenurse needed to know..i think im done with math... i wanna know how the vocab part is...i took the nelson denny test long time ago and when i didnt finish some questions (12) i put B's straight down the scantron and i ended up doing really good on it.. so i think im gonna do that again if i dont have time...also do they give you a scantron booklet or do they have one scantron per section where they collect each scantron before moving to the next section????

is there any polynomial long division??

is there any polynomial long division??

Nope, I hate to assume, but if you're worried about polynomials, the math part will most likely be a breeze for you.

Its very basic math. Just have your techniques and rules down for fractions, integers, division, multiplication, percentages etc.

And for those of you who decide to go to VEEB and had difficulty with the math on the entrance test, definitely work on it in your downtime. It will pay dividends when you start doing Pharmacology related math.

does anyone know if you get penalized by wrong answers or do you get graded by how many you get right only???

Its the same thing either way. You have to have a certain amount of right answers to pass. And you passed because you got a certain amount of answers wrong.

Not unless you get 100% or 0% of course.

well I'm confident that I passed my exam so I taking names for my study group . . . . . . I know me and ny-mom an others???I read previous threads that you start clinicals in October is that true??? They are not wasting anytime and Im not either I need to be on point and I also read that they have this job called sync that pays for you to veeb but in return you have to work for them full time or part time for 2 years. . . . .but its a long term care facility. . . . .didn't really wanna go that route but maybe I can go do my bsn while I work there for 2 years cuas eI already have my prereqs sine I have my community health and education degree. And I also read that veeb gives you another test the day of orientation on more math and science and they use that test as a guide to see how much u need to work on. . . . . (it doesn't affect you getting into the program it is for the nursing educators only)

when did U take Ur Test??

hey xxbkl>>>>..LOL...The vocab was really east I found..Reading Comp was ok also,,one long passage and a few short ones....Dont worry you will do great!!!!
