VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Oh hmm I believe she told me to follow the parking for the test it's specific. But I didn't ask. What was I wearing. Was I a smooth looking short guy lol

WOW!!! Malenurse your test date is last soooo. . . . .I guess you'll want us to give you a few tips about whats on it!!!lololol There really must be alot of applicants because I went on Monday morning and my test date is the 10th of Feb. . . . .I will probably know if I passed by the time you take your exam right?? How long does it take before you get your results back??

Wow I jus realized that u guys willtake it before me and be able to give a few pointers!!!! I think someone mentioned it takes a few weeks to get results. I took a gamble waiting till fri to go but I figured I'd get a later test date

Took about 10 days to get my results in mid-March 08'.

Then I gave in my reference letters, just make sure they're hand signed originals or they'll make you come back.

2 days after I came back I got the acceptance letter.

I doubt they ever changed the testing booklets, since they looked dated, but definitely know your fractions, multiplication, long division; they're the bulk of the math. Real simple, nothing complicated.

English is a lot of analogies and reading comprehension among other things. Reading comprehension is a breeze, but a few of the questions are tricky. The analogies aren't bad either, just don't over think and go through some 9th grade vocabulary lists.

Don't stress out though, trust me if you know the basics its real simple. I did no prep for the test, but I would definitely recommend taking some practice tests, since the time may get you on certain sections.

HI, Congratz on you admission!!!! I also live in Queens and I had taken VEEB admission test twice but I didn't pass. What did you study to pass the exam? Veeb told me study math and reading because that is what the test consists of, so I went and bought the GED math and reading and I studied until I overloaded my brain. When the actual test day came,my mind went blank.

wow what were your scores and what part is challenging for you was it the math or the reading comp? I studied the net exam book and the nln exam book.You gotta keep trying and never give up
