VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

as far as the reading part, there are word definitions and they have some short stories that u have to read then they ask u to answer some multiple choice questions about the story, but u have to be quick because they dont give a lot of time to answer the questions for both the math part and the reading part..

How quick is quick......?

Unfortunately I dont remember exactly how many minutes per part, I just remember it not being enough time and everyone saying how quick the minutes went by..the test overall wasnt that difficult, I failed the math part last year because I wasnt quick enough and left several blank, hopefully this time around I will pass..just study and time yourself, try to take like one minute per question..i'm sure you'll do great..

Wow sorry to hear u didnt pass the math part.. Calculator is allowed right?

What other nursing schools are in LI? I know the suffolk boces and the brooklyn lpn program is there anything else? If i fail i cant afford to wait a full year to try veebs again

they Dont allow the use of calculators during the test, i wish they did lol, yeah i cant afford to wait another year either, the other lpn schools in long island i know of are eastern and western suffolk boces..Hopefully we will get into veeb!!!

by the way LaGuardia Community College in Queens has an lpn program as well..

No calculators!!!!!!!!!!! Man now im nervous. i hope that the study guide i have for the vocab section helps out id hate to study these words and find none of them on the test.

as for the math i need to get on that right now!!
