VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Tomorrow is graduation day and I am walking whew...it has not been an easy road but I can say it was all worth it...be positive, study, pray, if you need help ask for it before its to late...I can remember reading this thread and being so anxious to start well I made it and so can you...Good luck to the future graduates thank you to past graduated...tonight I party with my fellow graduates and tomorrow is the start of my future:-)

Congrats !!!

Congrats. I start in September. Working on the summer assignments as best I can until the rest of my books come. Not to rush time but can't wait until I am posting about my graduation too. Good luck in finding work and passing the NCLEX.

Classes start Sept. 6 and I am excited but anxious. Can someone please let me know what was the hardest part of the program and what I should focus the most on as far as studying. Also what book was the most used and the most useful. Thanks!

Class of 2012!!! The hardest part was keeping focused in semester two and throughout. Semester one was the easiest--smooth sailing. I got comfortable with the high grades made and didn't study as much thereafter. Take notes yourself and be present when each class begins. We were reminded to use MyNursingLab and the study guides. The school gets heavy on care planning. You will need the Fundamentals of Nsg Care, Medical Surgical, Journey Across the Lifespan, Maternal Child textbook and study guide, Memmlers textbook and study guide, Clinical Pharmacology, Calculate with Confidence, Drug Guide, among others.

Thanks.

Work N Gear sells decent shoes at good prices. They always have coupons.

Thanks. I will try and not get too comfortable during the first semester.
