VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Hi lady I wish I could tell you what to study for vocab but they give out different tests to everyone. Honestly vocab is hard cause u can't really study for it. It's either u no it or u don't. But I'm sure you will do fine and good luck!!! Just relax and don't let the time restraint get you nervous cause then you might mess up. U will be fine. Yeah prrttY def keep me posted and I'll do the same!!!

My entrance exam is tomorrow I am scared! I really hope I pass just like I hope we all do. Can anyone else give anymore pointers?

Just got back a little while ago what a big stress. The vocab was a little crazy either you knew it or you didn't. Some of the words I've never seen before. The math and comprehension were both fair. I hope we pass and get in! & I wondered if financial aid was every semester and I found out today that it's only once and then they break it up. Just wish we didn't have to rush. Hm thinking about not even going to VEEB anymore. So much money just for an LPN, and they are being phased out. Associate degree nurses aren't even wanted that much. Bachelor degree nurses are what they want. Just a thought. Almost 14,000 for a certificate? Thinking about it.. I don't feel it is all worth it.

I took my exam yesterday! The vocabulary got me I must admit! A lot of words not enough time! I guess that was majority of the people that took the test problem. But now, the waiting.....and waiting! The hardest part! They said 2-3 wks, and they are still testing! So I'm not sure how long its going to be! Best of luck to everyone!

Doesn't veeb offer you a bridge to different programs to become an rn? I think I read that in this thread.

Hey Everyone! I was wondering if it was just me! But I'm soo anxious to find out my scores! I'm going crazy! Lol I have already completed my fasfa and I have already received my reference letters all I need now is my scores from the entrance exam.

I didn't complete the fafsa yet but I almost have all my reference letters. I'm psycho I started buying binders and ****. Def a little crazy but I just called the boces and they said they are sending out results already so good luck everyone and please post if anyone gets theirs!!!!
