VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

I was told that it is 9th grade math and 11th grade reading, and vocabulary. No science. But its always best to call the school yourself to confirm.

Yes, you should. I took the exam in 2007 and graduated in 2008. There has never been science on the entrance from what I understand. My advice to you all is to move fast and be accurate. TIME is a big factor. All the best to you guys. Veeb is a great school!!

Hey, I see you are always on this forum! So I thought you'd be a great person to ask -- what type of english is on the entrance exam if you can remember?

Is the physical cost included in tuition?

The physical was included. Please keep in mind things may have changed. It's been so long. The English consisted of reading a paragraph and answering questions. Reading comprehension. When I took the test Mrs I. had a timer in the room and she was very strict. Some people ran out of time.

I have the exam tomorrow. Probably should be sleeping right now. Does anyone know what the interview consists of? Thanks.

The interview is basically to see that you dress neatly. It's not that big of a deal. Once you pass the exam, you are in. They might ask you why you want to become a nurse. She asked me that. The interview wasn't even five minutes. Also if the interview IS the SAME day of the exam, I'm thinking it may be for another reason I won't mention on a public forum but I'm sure you can figure out.

I hope you did well today! I take my exam next Wed.If you don't mind sharing how the exam and the interview went, it would be greatly appreciated!

I Take My Exam Tommorrow & I'm So Nervous /; After We Take It How Fast Will We Recieve Our Results ?

It was one week in my time but I hear that's not the case anymore. I don't understand why VEEB would take so long to give people their results when all they have to do is run it through the scantron. Best of luck to you on your exam tomorrow and try not to be nervous. I know that's easier said then done. Make sure you come back on tomorrow and give an idea of whats on the test to help your fellow prospective classmates!!

Just got back not too long from the test. I feel like I did well. There is no interview I guess.lol. I got there waited in line to go to the library where they took my app, diploma and license. The lady just asked me whether or not I applied to veeb before and then she took my documents, I signed a sheet of paper then paid the testing fee in the application office. They return your documents back to you during a break in the testing. Vocab is 80 qs in like 25 mins. Pretty simple pick the answer that best fits. Then there was reading comprehension with 6 passages I think 38qs in 30 mins i tihnk. I skimmed and answered and then had time to double check my answers. 40 questions for math. Study Pemdas, adding and multiplying exponents, decimals, percentages, adding and subtracting fractions. Criteria for passing 11th grade english 9th grade math.Thats pretty much it. Good luck to everyone that still has to test. I hope I did well and didn't make any silly mistakes.

oh yea results in 2 1/2- 3 weeks.
