VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

If I remember correctly, VEEB uses MODULES.....Which are life savers. You won't need a notebook.....maybe a binder to put the modules in, if anything.

Ok thanx and do u know when the loans are processed?? Like if I qualified for both aid and the loans when will I be issued a refund? Everytime I call the school no one answers

I called today and someone answered. I was inquiring about my statement that they mailed to me so they told me to call the Business Office. When I called, the person that I need to speak to was not there so I was told to call back tomorrow. Hopefully she will be there tomorrow to answer my question.

To answer the remaining questions, yes there is an evening program. It's 5-10 PM I believe with 5 hours class, 10 hours clinical a week.

As for the classes, NCC pretty much takes credits from anywhere, contact the admissions office for verification.

Mailed my stuff to NYS the week after graduation. VEEB finally did their part the 2nd week of Sept. and I remember being able to schedule a date as soon as 9/22 but I opted for the 1st week of Oct.

Graduation was Fri...and I mailed mine that Mon...DO NOT WAIT. I was the first to test from my class. Sept 30..

As for the class of 2011...school starts in less then 2 weeks... YIKES!! Is anyone as nervous as me?????

I have a question. I received my bill in for the first trimester, and unfortunately.. some personal family problems have occurred so I have no money to pay that off. And the tuition is including financial aid. Is there any loans out there that could help me out? Or if the school could give me an extended time to pay that off or something? Like a monthly payment plan? If so, I'd love to know about it. If not, I guess I have to push another year to go into the lpn program which I don't want to happen since I already got all the books and deposit in.

Yeah class of 2010 here..I'm still celebrating woohoo! lol..I've been so lazy to fill out my NCLEX application, will get on it this week..I'm looking into a few schools for my RN now..St.Pauls seems to be a good school and a couple of VEEB instructors went there and teach there too. Any VEEBers looking into RN schools or online schools?

I agree with you this school is in it for the money only. First of all, why have us get books and everything then send you a statement that is due in a week, who does that, what if you cant find the entire amount and you've already gone through trouble gettn your books! and I bet you there gonna say there is no payment plan. Times are hard who has money laying around waiting to give VEEB. Im so sick of this I only hope its all worth it in the end cause I'll be really ******! Ofcourse, I called to get an explanation of my statement and as usual no one is never there to speak to you! was told by some lady the financial aid guy is on vacation and she doesn't know about the statement.... smh! Im gonna call on Monday lets see...
