VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

No I havent completed my assignments yet. I have a friend who is graduating from VEEB next week who is willing to give me his books so I am just waiting till after his graduation to get the books from him and complete the assignments. Have u completed your assignments yet?

OK EVERYBODY..............I FINALLY GOT MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER..............................O M G. I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!!! I actually went to the school to get my letter, and my orientation is on the 9th of August and I have to schedule my medical. Please for everyone that has already went through the process. can you please let me know anything you think I need to know. I'm soooooo dam happy........WHOO HOO!!!!!!!

You see we all tried to tell you it is a long drawn out process for some, congrats! Now from here on in keep a positive attitude and you will be successful! :nurse:

hi praise2u---------are u in the 2010 =11 coming class or----the 2010 aug 13 graduating,,,i se ur age and am 31 and i fell sometimes tha am too late to attend school again ,,but i really need a stable career and a future....thanks were u in the bridge program and overall did u attend tutoring afterschool and if so did it help u through,,,did u havea study group or was it just class work and studying at home----thanks alot for answer and ur time god blessing

I will be graduating on Friday Aug 13, 2010. It was tough but God saw me through! Yes I was in the bridge program. You are not to old and you will make it. Take advantage of the afterschool tutoring when you can, but especially before a test, and especially if you find yourself having trouble in a class. I did not have a study group I actually did it by myself at home. You will be fine, try different ways to study until you see what works for you. It will seem to be overwhelming but do not give up, you can make it! :nurse:

I'm just curious.....what assignments is everyone talking about? I didn't know we needed to complete assignements. Is this something I will find out on orientation day?? Thanks!

Yes,a pack of assignment will be giving to you on orientation day which will be due in class sept 1st

Oh, wow....thanks for the heads up. What type of assignments are they?. Are they long?

The packets are a lot of reading! There's 5 of them and 1 of them is just reading on the test were supposed to have the 1st day of school. And I had a question for anyone who also applied for the loans, when are we supposed to hear if we got approved? Bc if any money is owed don't we have to pay before the 1st??
