VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

maybe veeb is waiting to see how many people sign up the the bridge program before they mail out acceptances

That's what I'm thinking too Gabby!

When does the bridge program officially end? Gabby10 you make a valid point!!! To all VEEB alumni and/or current students, is there any material that you would recommend we review, before classes begin?

I hope not, the letter doesn't say anything about the 2000. so lets hope thats due after we pass the test:up:. Which will probably be in June sometime....so hopefully we'll have some time to save up some cash...

ROBINSONGAL did you call veeb to confirm your seat for the bridge oreintation

from the letter I received it ends June 28, 2010. Orientation is this week so they should have an estimate of who is going to attend by the end of the week so hopeful they will send out acceptance letters on Monday. That just my guess.

Nope, they will give you things to study

It is due after you pass the test. It will not be necessary unless you pass the test.

Gabby10 I appreciate that!!!! That gives all time to start getting our finances in order to provide the down payment as well as the first tri-semester tuition.

Praise2u I don't mean to sound like a smart@$$ but VEEB also gave us an entrance test and there was plenty of advice on topics to study, there has to be an outline that we will all eventually have to follow.........

I called VEEB today, and they informed me that they still have not sent out acceptance letters. I'm thinking maybe they are waiting to see what happens with the bridge people.

Does anyone know if its too late to apply for fall 2010? i know i should just call but cant wait until tmrw during office hrs...are there anymore testing dates left? thanks!!

No I don't think so. Pretty sure testing is over by now, unfortunately. Testing starts the last week of January and ends when the 200 seats fill up. Seats fill FAST @ VEEB! lol check some of the earlier threads. Call Veeb tomorrow to verify tho.

If Westchester BOCES LPN program is close to u, u can try taking their exam...their still testing. Here's the number: (914) 245-2700

I don't have much info on this program tho (veeb was my first choice). I do know the it's a 10 month program and the tuition is a little less than veebs. Good luck in all ur endeavors! Let us know how it turns out. :)

Thanks lilynurse!! I checked out BOCES too- the one in northport (suffolk) but they said tuition was 18,000! Do u know of any other vocational schools for lpn in the area for fall 2010 stll open?
