VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Hello !!!!! Sorry i have not responded, but w/all the job stress @ny times the cut our salaries 5%, they had more lay offs its just crazy, thats why veebs is it.... Anyway enough of that!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!! To every who will be attending in sept 09. I cant wait, i am so excited to meet every one on this thread. Every is so focused and has goal to become and lpn's and rn's. We are going to hit the ground running in sept. We all have what it takes to graduate and pass the state boards!!!!! We will have study groups and celebrate @ the club when we pass those test!!!

For all those who did not pass or has registered for the bridge program, do not give up. The devil is a liar!!!!! You can do it, if its not in 09, claim it FOR 2010...

This year is different from all the rest. Due to the recession veebs had a record breaking # of applicants. So unfortunately some of the applicants will be placed on the wait list for next year. But in the mean time, if you want to take a cna course lieoc hempstead site has a free 10 week course depending on your income, its right across the street from naki's... The farmingdale site has an lpn prep course ...

My physical is may 30th too, so i guess i will meet some of you and all of you on orientation day!!!

But get ur money right,financial aid, loans, grants, tuition reimbursement, or out of pocked because as you all know veebs is in the business of making money, and they will drop any one in a ny minute if that paper aint right!!!!!!

Whats up prospective student!!!!! I am interested in any info you have about the pharmacology course in the summer...

I think i need to get an updated tetorifice shot and perhaps a TB test? Although, i need to check with my OB to see if it's safe for me. I believe everything else i've already had. See you on May 30th (8am)!

Hey Driven, the pharm course is not offered for the summer session in eastern boces according to their brochure so we are out of luck, Sorry! We just have to work our butts off come Sept. lololol

Yes I was on the waiting list for the bridge program. Not too thrilled about attending this program for one stupid point but i guess it is what it is, could have been worse.

To all I have been in the bridge program last year and It's no joke you must be on time everyday and you cannot miss a day. I didn't pass the exam at the end because there was so much going on. As for this year I retested and passed and I am looking forward for this 2009 class in sept.

i took the boces test on Sat and it wasn't like veebs test at all !! I personally thought the math was much harder. Hopefully i guessed well...so we'll see. Im still hoping to get into the bridge at veeb, im going to call today.
