angi24 Oct 28, 2014 I just got an email from VCU saying that my application is complete! Now to play the dreadful waiting game. I'm graduating in December from VT and hope to work in a doctor's office post-grad while waiting to hear back. 0 Likes

IT lists them as all received but I haven't received an email saying my application is complete. Did the same thing happen with you? how long did you wait?Curious, Thank you 0 Likes
angi24 Oct 29, 2014 VCU and UVA are equally my top picks, i just hope I get into one of them! I sent my transcripts out on Friday and got the email yesterday. I never checked my status because I figured there'd be no point until this week when they would get them in the mail. Check your email again? I got the email from nuradmission at vcu. Good luck to you too!!! 0 Likes
Ph33rbenkthankslol Oct 29, 2014 Damn, now I'm worried, I sent the transcripts way earlier than Friday and the application lists everything as "received" so I don't know why I haven't received an email yet. On your application does it look something like this?
Processed Applications
[TH=class: ddheader, bgcolor: #E3E5EE]Admission Term[/TH][TH=class: ddheader, width: 10%, bgcolor: #E3E5EE]Application Preference[/TH][TH=class: ddheader, bgcolor: #E3E5EE]Date Created[/TH]

Summer 2015Not enteredOct 12, 2014

Maybe I effed up somewhere. I'm a little confused by the application preference: Not entered do you know what that means?Also good luck with UVA, I'm assuming you applied to the CNL direct entry masters program 0 Likes
twinkletoes22 Oct 31, 2014 Hey Everyone!I am applying as well!Ph33rbenkthankslol I called the Nursing admissions advisor after I saw your post and she said that she manually goes through each submitted application and then sends those emails stating the application is "complete and ready for review". It is not an automated email so no worries!BTW my application says the same thing as yours! 0 Likes
Ph33rbenkthankslol Oct 31, 2014 Thank You twinkletoes22 , that's really helpful. I emailed the office as well and they said something similar. Good luck with your application, 0 Likes
nfc14 Nov 1, 2014 Hi all,I have also applied and am still waiting for the "completed and ready for review" email, as well.Is it true that there are 400 applicants? I went to an info session and I thought it was 400 applications, but only 225 or so have actually made it through to "complete" status? Does anyone know for sure? 0 Likes
Ph33rbenkthankslol Nov 1, 2014 Yeah, that sounds familiar from the orientation. accordingly only about half the applicants end of being qualified (but that sounds a bit too high) 0 Likes
angi24 Nov 2, 2014 ph33rbenkthankslol-- my page looks like that too. have you maybe checked your spam folder? and i have no idea what it means by the "application preference: not entered". and thanks yeah I did apply to their CNL program. are you applying anywhere else? 0 Likes
angi24 Nov 2, 2014 oh oops i didn't see that people already answered the question about the email issue haha. and i'm pretty sure that you're right about only half of all applicants or so are actually "qualified" and i guess all that really means is that they've done all the pre-reqs or are working on them, have the appropriate gpa above their minimum, and turned in everything needed for the application, so not necessarily "highly" qualified but just meet the standards 0 Likes
Ph33rbenkthankslol Nov 2, 2014 Not yet, Honestly, VCU seems like my only option right now. Although I am considering George Mason and Old Dominion I don;t really know much about the others and I'm restricting myself to In-state State schools (so no Georgetown, GW, Marymount and Liberty)I would like to know what your input is on other school ABSN programs 0 Likes
angi24 Nov 2, 2014 I'm also applying to gmu/odu if i dont get into the other schools. I've alright things about gmu and odu but all that i really know about them is what i've read on other threads. i know that with gmu theres a bit of a commute involved with going to clinicals. and norfolk is not too ideal of a place for me just due to crime rates and since odu is in norfolk itself, i'm not too keen about going there (assuming i get in haha). i'm really banking on getting into vcu or uva but my gpa isn't the best and i didn't get all a's in my pre-reqs. i'm pretty much relying on my personal statement, work experience, and recommendations 0 Likes
