  1. I haven't yet made an appointment but I'm hoping to get it done and out of the way in mid January. Do you (or anyone else reading this) know if WHC offers a relocation package? Or any wage additions for type of degree or previous clinical experience (i.e. patient tech)? I know that Medstar Georgetown offers a relo bonus so I'm hoping WHC is the same but I haven't been able to find anything for RNs
  2. @bsn_iup, i've also been hired on 2NW!
  3. hey! i applied and am graduating in december from an absn program. i've been working as a CNA for a little over a year at the hospital associated with my program. i applied to the ICUs and med onc unit and am interviewing next friday!
  4. hey yall very excited to join those accepted and accepting the offer of admission!!
  5. i definitely feel very anxious and excited too! i can't believe we're gonna find out in 9 days. i graduate on the 19th but the only thing i'm excited about is getting onto a computer and checking the decision page haha
  6. hey maybe i'll see you in december, i'm graduating from tech too !
  7. Does anyone happen to know how long we have to decide if we are accepted?
  8. Oh awesome to hear! I had my interview today, and I also thought it went really well and my interviewer was very positive. She said before Christmas but wasn't too sure but I'm glad that we only have to wait 4 (short??) weeks!
  9. I just got my interview request email today and i'm beyond excited for it!
  10. awesome congrats yungrudy! let us know how it goes :)
  11. Good luck JRob!! I'm sure it'll go great. I hope the rest of us get our own interview email in the near future! I can't stop obsessively checking my email all the time haha
  12. I'm also applying to gmu/odu if i dont get into the other schools. I've alright things about gmu and odu but all that i really know about them is what i've read on other threads. i know that with gmu theres a bit of a commute involved with going to clinicals. and norfolk is not too ideal of a place for me just due to crime rates and since odu is in norfolk itself, i'm not too keen about going there (assuming i get in haha). i'm really banking on getting into vcu or uva but my gpa isn't the best and i didn't get all a's in my pre-reqs. i'm pretty much relying on my personal statement, work experience, and recommendations
  13. oh oops i didn't see that people already answered the question about the email issue haha. and i'm pretty sure that you're right about only half of all applicants or so are actually "qualified" and i guess all that really means is that they've done all the pre-reqs or are working on them, have the appropriate gpa above their minimum, and turned in everything needed for the application, so not necessarily "highly" qualified but just meet the standards
