  1. This is reassuring, thank you! My application still says under review.
  2. I might be a little too excited, but I just created a Facebook group for the class of 2022! Allnurses won't allow me to post a link, but if you search "UVA CNL Class of 2022" it should come up. (The group number is 659569637781648.) See you all soon!
  3. I was accepted! I'm so relieved! @psychiatricnurse998: some of the people I talked with on interview day said people on the waitlist ended up getting in, it's worth trying if you really want this program!
  4. Hope it went well for everyone! I think my interview went as well as it could. I was a little nervous but I got to talk about my experience a little bit at least. Everyone was so nice! So wild we'll all find out so soon! Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!
  5. I am interviewing with Dillon Kuhn and Ashley Hurst. Ashley's background is so interesting! I have a strong interest in medical ethics so I'm especially looking forward to speaking with her!
  6. For those who are interviewing in person, what are you wearing? Trying to get a sense of the dress code and how formal people dress for this.
  7. I recently turned 32.
  8. @psychiatricnurse998 It's a nice time of year to visit! The campus is pretty and it's also quite walkable to downtown.
  9. Congratulations everyone! I got an interview also! I'm so excited. Very cool how diverse all of your experiences are, it's an asset!
  10. Wow, that's great news! Thank you for the update!
  11. It seems like all of you have really interesting, varied backgrounds! I currently work as a case manager at UVA in an outpatient clinic. I help patients navigate psychosocial issues, link them to community resources, and provide patient navigation service across different specialties. The goals are to help them independently manage their health issues, streamline their care and eliminate care duplication. I am switching to a research project coordinator position next week focusing on rural health issues in the southern US - very excited to try something new!
  12. I applied! I spent so much time on the essays! Undergrad: graduated in 2010, graded GPA ~3.4, most of my GPA is pass/fail with written evaluations because I transferred to a nontraditional liberal arts school...and I wasn't always the best studentPrereqs: 4.06 years healthcare experience (CNA, Peace Corps, case management, and unit clerk/mental health worker)Good luck to everyone applying this cycle! I was looking at a few other schools like Johns Hopkins, but UVA is my dream school!
  13. I am applying in this cycle also! Planning to finish up my application this week. I'm originally from the Boston area and graduated from Bennington College in 2010 with a psychology & political science concentration. I've worked in different healthcare roles at hospitals in Vermont and Massachusetts. I was in Peace Corps in South Africa where I did research at a hospital. I currently live and work a healthcare role in Charlottesville. I've been doing my science and math prereqs at PVCC - finishing A&P II this week! I'm really excited about this program as it has pretty much everything I was hoping for!
